Lemken has launched the new Zirkon 8 power harrow range for tractors from 60-175hp. The new machines can be used with more powerful tractors than their successful predecessor, the Zirkon 7, while additional equipment can be selected on the machine to bring its specification to a level similar to that of the Zirkon 10 power harrow range.
A special feature of the new Zirkon 8, which is available in working widths of 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0m, is its modular design. For example, bolt-on tines can be replaced with quick-fit options. A standard spanner releases the lock and the Quick-change tines are easily removed in seconds. With 32cm length, they offer increased life expectancy and the ability for deeper work. As such, the machine should be of interest to potato growers.
There is a choice between a simple gearbox with interchangeable gears, or the DLG award-winning two speed lever-change model. This gives the option of 300 or 400 revs/minute to suit conditions. Additionally, the tine direction can be easily reversed to allow tines to work in grip or drag position according to need.
Another Zirkon 8 accessory, is the levelling board, which can be simply adjusted from one end. Available for use as a solo machine, or together with a seed drill, the Zirkon 8 is designed to carry up to 3,000kg of extra weight when required. For convenience, Lemken mechanical or pneumatic seed drills can be supplied together with the power harrow directly from the factory.
