Carrs Billington joins Simba dealer network

Simba Great Plains has appointed Carrs Billington Machinery as its appointed dealers for the North of England and part of South-west Scotland.
The company is the machinery arm of the Carrs Billington group, which also runs a major agricultural merchant business and makes some 500,000t of animal feed annually.
The machinery arm has full sales, parts and aftersales and service facilities at six branches at Morpeth, Hexham, Barnard Castle, Penrith, Carlisle and Annan. Massey Ferguson and Fendt tractors, Krone and Kuhn are among its leading franchises.
The company covers all of Northumberland and Cumbria and an area of South-west Scotland.
“Simba Great Plains is a growing company and so are we,” Carrs Billington
machinery director Ian Gate said. “We are delighted to add their range to our portfolio as it gives us an excellent and well-respected range of cultivation equipment and drills.
“We expect there will be significant interest in some of the smaller machines in the west, where there are a great number of mixed farms, and to have a market for bigger machines in the east, where there are some significant arable units”.
Simba Great Plains territory manage Craig Thomson added that the appointment would help strengthen the company’s national dealer network.
“In a region to which our equipment is well suited, we look forward to building a healthy relationship with Carrs Billington,” he said.
