The SDF Group’s strategy of appointing dealer development managers in key European countries has resulted in Rob Edwards being given the role in for the UK and Ireland.
Mr Edwards, who has held several senior management positions within Same Deutz-Fahr in the UK, said SDF Group felt the new appointments were essential if the business was to expand in line with expectations.
“There are two parts to the role,” he said. “One is to establish new dealers, particularly in areas where we do not, as yet, have adequate coverage; and the other is to ensure our existing dealer network is well supported in terms of branding, machinery, servicing and parts.”
Same Deutz-Fahr UK’s cheif executive Mark Casement said Rob Edwards’ appointment as dealer development manager was a key role.
“We will now be in a position to provide an even greater focus on the management of our existing dealer network and, in doing so, help their businesses expand and succeed,” he said. “We’ll also be able to increase our UK coverage by continuing our policy of bringing well-established dealers into our network.
“Rob has had a vast experience in working with dealers which makes him an ideal choice for this important position.”
