Riverlea Agricultural Machinery has been appointed as the official dealer for Vredo Overseeders in south and west Wales by the UK importer JC Machinery.
An established dealership with three depots stretching from Pembrokeshire, across Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan, to Monmouthshire, Brecknockshire, Radnorshire and Cardiganshire, the firm is said to be ideally placed to supply and service the Vredo range.
“We’re sure there’s a market for these machines in Wales,” Riverlea salesman Paul Rogers said. “Together with the professional back-up and support from JC Machinery, we’ll be able to provide first-rate sales and aftersales service to our customers.
“We have already had success as several customers trialled the overseeders in early spring and have since purchased machines, completing over 800 acres each.
“In May we sold a further three models, including the widest Vredo Twin Agri-seeder 5.8m machine.”
The renowned Vredo Dual-disc system guides the seed into a small slit directly into the soil. This guarantees deep rooting of the injected seed to encourage fast germination. The pairs of discs have a row distance of only 7.5cm, which delivers a thick and healthy sward. Research in Germany confirmed that the Vredo system generates a germination rate of 96%.
“This is just the start,” JC Machinery product specialist John Campey said. “We’ll be looking to expand our range of products in the future, and with a very experienced organisation working with us in this part of the UK, I have no doubt that Riverlea will be a very proactive dealership for us in the coming years.”
