Claas: Five new models in single-rotor Liner line-up

Claas will offer five new models in its single-rotor rake range for 2012. The Liner 450, 420 and 370 are mounted on the three-point linkage, while the Liner 450T and 370T are trailed variants.
With working widths of 3.5-4.5m, the new Liners are particularly well suited for use by small and medium-sized farms that organise their own forage harvesting, but these models also feature the reliable components from the tried-and-tested Liner range which are designed for long-term durability.
In particular, this includes the lifetime-lubricated and hermetically sealed swath gearbox with a cam track made from wear-resistant spheroidal graphite iron. On the Liner 450 and 420, the tine arms are also equipped with 20-sectioned multiple grooving, and secured with the Profix quick-change system. This allows the tine arms to be quickly attached and removed, in order to reduce the transport width, and rapidly replaced whenever collision damage occurs.
To protect the ground during harvesting, while also preventing crop contamination, the new Liners have a four-wheel contour system. With this configuration, the tandem axles are positioned as closely to the tines as possible so that the rotor can adapt itself to the ground. To achieve even greater advances in ground contour following, the single-rotor rakes are available with an additional guide wheel as an option. To prevent the rake from grounding on an incline, and to relieve strain on the carrier frame during transport, the Liner is equipped with the proven Claas power drawbar.
The single-rotor rakes have very high pinning positions for the upper link, helping them to achieve great clearance heights at the headland. This allows them to travel overlarge swaths effortlessly. In addition, easily folding spring-loaded protection frames or optional hydraulically folding variants ensure the required level of comfort.
