AH Engineering, which has been manufacturing spreaders and trailers at its Bramford site, in Suffolk, since 1996 will be exhibiting its latest spreaders at Lamma 2010.
New in the line-up is a range of tandem-axle models from 16-28t. As with the company’s original Challenger machines, they are available in both vertical beater and horizontal beater with spinner deck configurations.
Standard features include automatic lubrication and chain tensioning, British bearings, sprung drawbar, commercial lighting, two-pack paint and Michelin tyres. These machines can be supplied with varying track width and tyre options; they will fit tramlines for cereals and can be used in row crop work.
This latest model will give greater capacities with a narrower road width and will also meet the latest braking legislation. The machines can be fitted with options such as air brakes, slurry doors and greedy boards.
AH Engineering has always prided itself in being flexible to tailor make machines to customer’s own specification. All of these machines have been built without losing sight of the original aim of building a quality machine that will give years of service. It has a long list of satisfied customers including farmers and contractors both in the UK and Ireland.
The company also manufactures high-speed bulk trailers with capacities up to 18t and are ideal for transporting all types of bulk material. A range of flat trailers, ideal for straw and potato boxes, are also available on commercial running gear and at lengths up to 32ft.
