Amazone: 1,000-litre weigh-cell spreader launched

Amazone has introduced a new weigh-cell spreader in the 1,000-litre hopper size class. The new ZA-M 1001 Special Profis benefits from electronic weighing technology that, so far, has been only been available for spreaders with larger hopper capacities.
The accuracy of calibration is yet further optimised when spreading different types of fertiliser. During the spreading process, the weighing system compares continuously the rate of fertiliser actually applied with the predetermined rate. Deviations in the flow behaviour, for example with changeable granulated mineral fertilisers, are detected and the spreader automatically readjusts itself via the electric metering shutters. Thanks to the precise weighing technology, fertiliser savings of up to five per cent can be achieved.
No calibration of the spreader is necessary as that process is carried out automatically via the Amatron+ operator terminal in conjunction with the job computer.
Amatron+ also controls the spread rate according to the forward speed. Via key pressure, the driver can override the spread rate, up or down, as desired according to the prevailing crop conditions.
Amatron+, with its RS232 port fitted as standard, is ideally suited to working in conjunction with GPS-terminals for site-specific application maps.
The robust frame with integrated weighing technology has been designed for a maximum payload of up to 2,100kg. With a base capacity of 1,000 litres, it can be extended with the S500 extension to increase the hopper capacity to 1,500 litres.
The weigh-cell frame, which is integrated directly into the spreader, ensures that the centre of gravity from the tractor is not increased. The spreader is designed in such a way that hopper, frame and spreader form just one unit, offering the advantage that very little strain is placed on the weigh-cell, even on slopes.
