Amazone: Amatron 3 controller unveiled

Amazone launched its new Amatron 3 in-cab controller for sprayers, spreaders and drills at the 2012 Precision Farming Event held at Peterborough, UK, in March.
The high-resolution six-inch screen gives the operator a much clearer and brighter view of the machine’s functionality and the new software layout simplifies programming in comparison to the existing Amatron+.
The toggle button in the top right-hand corner of the unit enables the user to flick between two screens: first the standard display is of the machine functions that includes the number of sections working, forward speed, application rate, working pressure, etc and alongside the soft keys for the electro-hydraulic functions such as boom folding and tilt; and second the display offers the user a view of the field boundary with the area already applied showing in green. The full functionality of the GPS-Switch can be accessed via this second screen.
Amatron 3 not only has the ability to work as a Canbus controller for machine function, but also as an Isobus controller with Task Controller being gradually introduced during 2012 to enable data to be transferred from a PC to Amatron 3 as well as being able to be used with third party software such as FieldNav.
For 2012 GPS-Switch is already being delivered with the 50-hour trial software of GPS-Track guidance system. With GPS-Track, the display can be used for light bar guidance from an A-B line and can be used in three functions of line to cope with bends and corners. GPS-Track can also be used as a stand-alone system for guidance when mowing or cultivating when the auto shut-off system is not being used.
