Case IH: New model and upgrades for 2010 Pumas

The new Puma 125 has joined the Case IH tractor range for 2010, which sees upgrades across the board for the Puma Series tractors.
The six-cylinder model, which offers a maximum 163hp, extends the Puma range and overlaps with the Maxxum Multicontroller range to offer customers more choice at this power output.
All Pumas are available with an 18×6 transmission that offers 40km/hr or a 19×6 transmission that can be either 50km/hr or 40km/hr at reduced engine revs (approx 1,700). These transmissions features field and road modes that automatically shift gears using advanced torque sensing technology for optimum performance and efficiency.
To meet the requirements of contractors and livestock farmers, the Puma 125, 140 and 155 models are now available with a semi-powershift transmission. Also available in 40km/hr and 50km/hr configurations, it is ideal in road transport applications where operators do not require the benefits of a full powershift transmission.
Engine power management system on the Puma 140 and 155 models now provides productivity increases of 3% and 8% respectively. The Puma 165, 180, 195 and 210 models also benefit from increased PTO performance as 1,000 rpm PTO speed is now achieved in line with the maximum power of the engine at 1,900rpm, increasing productivity by up to 7% and increasing efficiency by up to 6%. The enhanced system also offers benefits in hydraulic  operation, particularly continuous-flow applications.
An exhaust brake is now available on all models and is the ideal solution for customers performing heavy duty road transport operations. The system is design to restrict exhaust gas flow from the engine which in turn increases engine braking  performance and service brakes life.
