Deutz-Fahr: Heavy-duty Agrotron L730 launched

Designed for heavy duty applications, the Agrotron L730 is said by Deutz-Fahr to be the ideal tractor for medium-large farms and contracting businesses.
The Agrotron L, equipped with a  common-rail six-cylinder
turbodiesel Deutz engine, meets all the latest emissions standards due to its innovative high-pressure fuel injection system with its seven-hole injector nozzles and electronic engine control. With a maximum power output of 220hp, a displacement of 7.15 litres, a high constant torque speed range and low fuel consumption, this engine is an example of the innovative Deutz engine design that is also able to run on 100 per cent biodiesel (B100).
The full powershift transmission offers three speed ranges (creep, work and transport) and up to 12 powershift gears. Gear changes can be effected manually by pressing a button on the PowerComS control lever or automatically using the Automatic Powershift function, which selects the optimal ratio according to the load conditions and engine speed. In total, there are 24 forward gears and 33 reverse gears available. The maximum speed of 50km/hr is attained at an engine speed of just 1,750rpm.
Other innovative features include the hydraulic powershift, which comes as standard equipment, and the Comfortip headland management system that allows the operator to program sequences of commands and functions for repetitive tasks. With the optional iMonitor, sequence programming is even easier and can also be performed manually.
The hydraulic system has also been uprated in line with the increased power. The Agrotron L730 is equipped with a load-sensing hydraulic system with a maximum capacity of 130 lit/min and up to seven electrically controlled spools (five rear, two front).
Furthermore, the Agrotron L has been designed with
Deutz-Fahr‘s DRP traction geometry, which is a system that takes into account the weight distribution, the geometry of the linkage and the tractor’s centre of gravity in order to optimise traction even under the toughest conditions.
The new Deutz-Fahr Agrotron L730 also presents a number of other safety and comfort features. These include the Powerbrake, a braking system that is also used on saloon cars: this, in effect, comprises a servo brake that affords optimal braking force with even just a light touch on the brake pedal, and the electronic parking brake (EPB) that guarantees maximum safety when stopping or parking the tractor even on slopes.
In terms of comfort, the new S Class cab offers pneumatic cab suspension, optimum sound insulation for reduced noise levels, maximum visibility thanks to a glass area of 6.5 square metres and a high-visibility roof for comfortable working. The cab interior has also been completely redesigned.
The L series is also equipped as standard with the PowerComS control system and the optional iMonitor, both of which are also available on the other models in the Agrotron range.
