Baletwine: Livestock farming app offers 22 calculators

New Zealand-based developer Baletwine has launched a new smartphone app called Farmboss that the company believes will be a great tool to help farmers with grazing stock to be more productive and more profitable.
The app combines 30 years of practical farming experience with technology to deliver 22 calculators that can be used every day on grazing operations on a smartphone or tablet.
It includes budgeting and reporting templates, calculating grass feed requirements and required stock growth rates to meet target weights, it even works out how many staples you need when building a fence and heaps more.
Nearly half of the calculators have an in-built email facility so that users can email the data to advisers, farm owners, suppliers or just to the home office.
The Farmboss app is downloadable for Android devices from the Google Play store and for iOS devices from Apple’s iTunes App Store.
The Farmboss calculator can be set to operate in US imperial or metric measurements, and once it has been downloaded, it doesn’t need a signal on your ‘phone to work.
