Cox Agri has recently relaunched its QWIKtag sheep tags after both re-engineering and reinforcing the production materials. These small changes have significantly increased the strength of the pin, making it four times stronger than the original QWIKtag.
This development work has overcome the industry-wide issue affecting most sheep ear tags of bending pins. To demonstrate the company’s confidence in the product, all QWIKtags from Cox Agri are sold with a Free-from-bending-pins Guarantee.
The Cox Agri team has been working for many months to first re-engineer the QWIKEiD tag and then thoroughly trial and test the tag extensively before its commercial release. QWIKEiD is stronger, but still has the same excellent properties of long-term retention and high-quality electronic glass transponders that farmers have come to expect; plus the tags now feature even clearer laser marking, making them easier to read visually when necessary.
As part of the relaunch, Cox Agri is also running a free prize draw that offers buyers of QWIKEiD tags a chance to win an Alligator Mobile Sheep Handling System. Farmers buying the tags before September 30, 2013 will be entered into the draw, which will take place at AgriScot on the November 20. The winner will also get expenses paid overnight accommodation in Edinburgh and money towards their travelling costs to collect their prize, plus a day out at one of Scotland’s premier agricultural events.
