Cereals 2008 was the first UK presentation of the new Holmer Terra-Variant multi-purpose transporter. The Terra-Variant is offered for slurry injection, fertiliser application, drilling, cultivating, lime spreading, muck spreading, crop collection and many other uses.
The display machine will also feature the latest front-end design that has been developed by Holmer and a leading automotive design house.
The Holmer Terra-Variant features a powershift transmission with 18 forward and 6 reverse gears. Engines are supplied by Mercedes, with V8 612hp and six-cylinder 490hp options to provide power for the 600 and 500 models respectively.
Payloads are 24 cubic metres for grain and 21 cubic metres for slurry.
Four-wheel steering makes this a very manoeuvrable machine with an excellent 5.5m turning circle. Terra-Variant has already proved its capacity to significantly raise productivity in several countries.
