Case IH: All Puma tractors now available as AFS-ready

All models in Case IH’s Puma and Puma CVX tractor ranges are now available in AFS-ready (Advanced Farming System) format for precision farming operations.
The first Puma 155 to feature the AFS kit arrived in the UK at the end of March, making its debut at an open day held by Cambridgeshire dealer Collings Brothers of Abbotsley.
The AFS-ready tractors, which can be identified by the AFS logo next to the tractor model number on the bonnet, come with auto-steering hydraulic valves and a wiring loom to accommodate precision farming equipment.
The AFS option costs about £2,700, but buyers will have to pay about the same again to buy a GPS antenna and controller to plug into the tractor. Farmers with an AFS-ready combine and tractor can, however, use the GPS components on both machines.
