The Lamborghini R3 Evo tractor range is now even better following the introduction of a host of new developments plus a brand new model – the 110, which joins the R3 Evo 85 and 100 models.
All three R3 Evo models are now powered by an electronically managed, four-cylinder Tier III Deutz series 2012 engines which have two valves/cylinder – the new R3 Evo 110 also benefits from a turbocharger and intercooler and is rated at 109hp and, as with the other two models, is 100% compatible with the use of biodiesel fuel – B100.
An updated transmission provides either 15×15 or 20×20 gear ratios with super-reducer and mechanical shuttle while, in the GS version, there is a 40×40 Hi-Lo Overspeed gearshift and Sense Clutch hydraulic shuttle under load.
An important new feature of the transmission is that it now allows the tractor to reach speeds of up to 40km/hr with the engine running at just 2,100rpm, with significant advantages in terms of fuel savings.
The 100 GS also features new self-adjusting rear brakes that, through a mechanical device, make it possible to keep pads and brake discs totally apart when not in use. This reduces wear, prevents transmission oil overheating and increases the service life of the braking system. There is also less ‘wasted’ power and a reduction in fuel consumption.
The new R3 Evo 110 also offers the innovative Park Brake parking emergency system, featuring a mixed mechanical/hydraulic device that applies a constant force on the rear disk brakes when the tractor is parked.
This version also features the Sense Clutch – a Hard-Soft adjustment for the hydraulic shuttle, which allows the operator to adjust the shuttle response time in relation to the type of work in progress – loading a muck spreader or moving bales, for example. Four different degrees of reactivity can be selected.
A further major development concerns the rear linkage lift capacity which has been increased. Measured at the ball ends the new capacities are 4,300kg for the R3Evo 85, 5,100kg for the R3Evo 100 and an impressive 5,300kg for the R3 Evo 110.
Lastly, but certainly not least, in the cab version of the Lamborghini R3 Evo a new frame has been introduced featuring four pillars that, combined with generous amounts of glass, provide the operator with a high degree of visibility and a comfortable working environment.
