Same introduces the new Explorer3 range which now features a new model and several new developments designed to lift performance and efficiency levels to even greater heights.
The new Explorer3 110 model, which joins the existing 85 and 100 models, completes Same’s line-up in this popular and versatile power range. These models are well suited to performing a wide variety of tasks both in the field and in the farm yard – from cultivating and drilling to loader work and stock feeding.
The entire range is powered by the new electronically managed four-cylinder Deutz 2012 Tier 3 engines which feature two valves per cylinder – the higher powered Explorer3 110 is equipped with an intercooler and turbocharger to produce a rated 109hp.
An important development concerns the transmission on the new model which, in the standard version offers a 15×15 or 20×20 transmission with super-creep and mechanical shuttle and, in the GS versions, a 40×40 Hi-Lo Overspeed shift, with Sense Clutch hydraulic shuttle.
This enables the tractor to reach speeds of 40km/h with the engine running at just 2,100rpm, with considerable advantages in terms of fuel savings, especially during transport.
The new Explorer 3 110 also features the new Park Brake parking/emergency system that employs a mechanical/hydraulic device to apply a constant force on the rear disc brakes, thus ensuring that the tractor is always parked in full safety and in any slope conditions.
The GS version of the Explorer3 110 also features a new self-adjusting device for rear brakes which uses a mechanical device to ensure pads and discs are kept apart when not in uses. This reduces wear, helps prevent transmission oil overheating and increases the service life of the braking system and its efficiency – not to mention the reduction in power loss and fuel consumption.
All the GS versions of the Explorer3 series are equipped with a hydraulic shuttle having a sensitivity control – Sense Clutch – a system which, through the Hard-Soft control, allows the operator to adjust the sensitivity of the hydraulic shuttle in respect of different tasks and operating conditions.
The Explorer3 range now offers increased hydraulic lift capacity: the Explorer3 85 is rated at 4,300kgs, the Explorer3 100 at 5,100kg and the Explorer3 110 at 5,300kg.
Lastly, in the cab version of the Same Explorer 3 a new frame is introduced having four pillars, which allow excellent visibility for the operator and, through the design of the cab interior guarantee a comfortable and excellent working environment.
