When Lely took a minority interest in the German company Mengele Agrartechnik AG in May 2009, it took an important step towards offering a comprehensive product range for forage harvesting products to reinforce the offering from its forage solutions business.
Lely UK Ltd has announced that the distribution of the company’s loader wagon range has started in time to catch the 2010 spring season.
The first public showing of the Lely Tigo loader wagon range was at the Doe Show, in Essex, in February. Three of the machines have been added to the comprehensive range of demonstration equipment that Lely will have to demonstrate on UK farms this year.
Improvements that Lely engineers have made to the Tigo include upgrading the chopping device to include 40 knives for the production of better fodder. The entire cutting bar is now easily swiveled away from under the wagon to make maintenance easier and knife changing more accessible.
