Kuhn has expanded its hay-making range with the all-new fixed and variable chamber round baler BalePack models. A standard round baler (FB2135/VB2160/VB2190) in combination with in-house wrapping technology makes this bale-and-wrap combination highly reliable for one-man-operation with massive capacity.
Kuhn’s BalePack balers characterise themselves with unique features such like Isobus, integral rotor, OptiCut cutting devices, IntelliWrap and optional 3D wrapping technology. Special attention goes to the VBP 2160 BalePack combination.
All Kuhn BalePack models are Isobus compatible. Compatible tractors will, therefore, not require a separate control box for the baler. Alternatively, Kuhn offers a choice of two different terminals.
The FBP and VBP models feature Kuhn’s unique Integral Rotor Technology. The large diameter augers are integrated on the forced fed intake rotor. This simple, maintenance-free, short distance intake system ensures even feeding.
Standard equipment on the BalePack models includes a cutting device. Models start with a 14-knife individual spring-protected cutting unit, although a fully hydraulic 23-knife unit with hydraulic group selection is also available.
Not all bales are made in perfect field conditions. Therefore the Kuhn BalePack models are designed to ensure a rapid, reliable and safe bale transfer, even when working in steep, sloping hills by use of the twin loading forks.
Kuhn’s IntelliWrap syatem on the BalePack models provides greater management and control over the wrapping process. IntelliWrap uses sophisticated electronics and hydraulics to monitor the wrapping process and continuously adjust the film overlap, allowing total flexibility. Depending on local circumstances, crop conditions and storage periods the operator simply adjusts the amount of requested film layers – 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and so on – into the terminal. IntelliWrap automatically matches this request to the various bale dimensions.
IntelliWrap is also capable of the unique and unbeaten 3D wrapping process. With the pre-stretchers in their horizontal position, only the bale rotates. After closing the cylindrical side of the bale, the pre-stretchers return in their vertical position to apply the remaining layers and close the bale.
BalePack models features Kuhn’s well known 750mm aluminium pre-stretchers with cone-shaped outer ends, scissor-type film cutters, and storage for up to 10 spare film rolls. Large wheels provide minimum soil compaction and maximum flotation.
