GrainTek: Mobile continuous or batch dryer launched

Aberdeenshire-based GrainTek UK Ltd has launched a new mobile grain dryer that can be moved from farm to farm on its own, dedicated trailer.
The dryer, which is available with a choice of 13t or 18t holding capacity, can dry (removing five per cent moisture) up to 190t of grain in a 24-hour period.
The fully automatic dryer can be used in either batch or continuous mode, with the change accomplished at the touch of a button. In continuous mode, the dryer needs only one single-leg elevator.
To maximise productivity, the dryer is fitted with 80t/hr grain handling equipment. This allows it to be filled in just nine minutes in batch mode.
Mains or tractor driven, the dryer features a control panel with a full-colour touch screen with animated graphics. Set up is easy, and a test message modem can send alerts to the operator’s mobile ‘phone.
The control panel will retain a drying log of work done, and will also store and recall settings that have been previously used.
