Spaldings: Ziegler header extensions added to range

Spaldings has expanded its combine range to include header extensions from German manufacturer Ziegler. The new extensions are designed to original equipment manufacturerspecification and come with the option of electrical or hydraulic drive. They are available for a wide range of brands including Claas, Case, New Holland, John Deere, Agco and Deutz Fahr.
“The technology in our header extensions makes it possible to reduce your crop losses therefore increasing your yields by up to a mighty 250kg/ha” Spaldings agricultural sales director, Roger Chase, said. “The header extensions earn their keep making them a logical, sound investment”.
Ziegler is the world market leader for rape harvesting technology and its header extensions are available with working widths from 3.6-10.7m, one of the largest available on the market with each sideknife blade at 1.35m. With a Schumacher cutting system and oil-bath gear box that’s maintenance-free, downtime is reduced. To cut downtime even further the header extension has quickrelease fasteners for quick and tool-less installation and removal.
Adding to the benefits of yield increase and decreased downtime, the option of hydraulic sideknife drive comes with a selfcontained hydraulic system and consists of the gearbox, hydraulic pump, hydraulic tank, hydraulic hoses with quick coupling and preset valves. This has a short setup time and ensures no interference with the existing combine hydraulic system.
