Cereals 2010 saw the launch of Grimme’s new CW150 four-web All Web destoner designed specifically for working in very sandy and stony conditions, especially flintstones, where the star type system has a very high up-keep factor.
Sharp stones can cause excessive wear of the company’s traditional PU-stars, so it is now possible to equip the machine with a specially developed main web and one extra web.
Based on the successful CS150 and 170 machines the All Web separator has a multiblade share, which lifts the bed into the machine. The intake web is a four-belted web driven by Grimme’s P-U drive system. Two further webs of the same length are followed by the standard length back-web of the current machine.
The webs retain the large 16mm web bars, and the overlap between them prevents stone loss. In total the new All Web separator has an increased sieving area of 19%.
The new All Web machine is fitted with a fixed scrubber as standard and offers all the options available as on current CW machines. It is 90cm longer than existing Grimme separators, but manoeuvrability is unaffected.
