Agritechnica 2009, at Hanover, will see the launch of a new sugar beet harvester from Grimme – the Rexor 620.
The bottle-neck on wheeled machines is normally the crop flow under the front axle. Grimme has increased the crop flow by about 70 per cent with its unique frame construction. As standard, the machine has three turbines as cleaning units.
The new high performance Defoliator FM300 or the advanced developed inline front topper FT300, are the choices for the new Rexor 620 self-propelled sugar beet harvester. The digging unit is further developed being based on the proven Oppel Wheels from Grimme. The active auger with the extracting unit starts separating haulm and trash right at the beginning as opposed to other traditional systems.
For the first time it is now possible, as an option in this machine range, to have a roller cleaning unit available. The well proportioned ring elevator transfers the sugar beet into the 22t bunker. The proven Grimme moving floor bunker technology in combination with the wide unloading elevator ensures a fast and gentle emptying of the bunker.
The drive chassis of the Rexor 620 is on two steerable wheel axles, as well as with articulation in the main frame. This ensures gentle drives either left- or right-hand side. The inner turning radius is 7.5m and makes the Rexor 620 be the most agile sugar beet harvester of its type.
The active, dynamic hinged support BaSys (Balance System) ensures that in all drive and digging situations there is an optimum balance of the machine on extreme slopes.
Also unique to the Rexor 620 is that it is the first sugar beet harvester in the world, which has the road speed permission of 40km/hr.
A 490hp engine is fitted to the Rexor 620, together with the new Claas large comfort cab and two Isobus-compatible CCI200 terminals as standard features.
The combination of intelligent drive technology with fully utilised hydraulic and cooling systems and an automotive drive system as well as advanced motor steering makes the Rexor 620 to the most economical sugar beet harvester in its class.
