Following two-and-a-half successful years as the authorised Bobcat dealer for Greater London, Essex, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent and Surrey, Versatile Equipment has now been appointed to represent the brand in Norfolk and Suffolk.
To serve the new area, Versatile Equipment has opened a new depot based at Willow Grove Farm, near Lakenheath, Suffolk.
The managing director and co-owner of Versatile Equipment, Lee Chater, said it was a happy coincidence that the expansion of its Bobcat territory coincided with the company’s 20th year in business.
“Back in 2003 we were established with a dedicated focus on the supply of compact loaders and attachments, and in the intervening period we’ve gained huge experience in the compact equipment market in the UK,” he added.
“During the past 30 months, the strong investments we have made as Bobcat dealer in our team and facilities have really paid off,” sales director and co-owner Barry Gass said. “We’re delighted to take on a larger area with our appointment by Bobcat to handle Norfolk and Suffolk. Our new depot at Lakenheath will allow us to offer a premium service for customers in the new area.”
Bobcat Doosan’s district manager for UK South, Sweden and Finland, Andrew Wolton, said that based on its accomplishments as a Bobcat dealer, Versatile Equipment was the obvious choice to take on the additional responsibility for Suffolk and Norfolk.
“We are very impressed with the facilities at the new branch at Lakenheath that offers excellent storage, service and showroom space as well as ample external areas,” he added.
