Pöttinger has decided to cancel its participation at Sima 2024. The family-owned business took the decision after discussions with its team in France.

Sima is the largest French trade fair for agriculture but will take place in November next year without Pöttinger. The company said that during the pandemic years, the trade fair landscape and visitor behaviour changed considerably.

It added that it would continue to participate in international trade fairs, but wanted the organisers to coordinate their schedules better for the benefit of the exhibiting companies and visitors.

“We will focus our resources more specifically into communicating directly with our clients,” the speaker of Pöttinger’s executive board, Gregor Dietachmayr, said. “We will emphasise activities that address our end customers and their needs.”

The company added that direct contact enabled the company to convey its innovative product portfolio and digital solutions for grassland and arable farming products even better. Activities will continue to include local and national events alike, however, focus will be placed on flexible product training and presentations tailored to customer needs.
