Kuhn has revealed a pipeline of 20 new products that will be launched in the coming year, with many being available on the UK market.

The announcement came as part of a global business update that showed the machinery manufacturer has more than doubled its staff since the turn of the millennium and now has 24 sites with a presence in more than 110 countries.

Kuhn’s rapid expansion has seen its employees grow to 5,800, up from 2,050 in 2000, and the addition of seven new manufacturing plants, taking the total to 11 worldwide.

“A new sales subsidiary has been established in Hungary, and Kuhn Group has also been expanding in Russia,” Kuhn UK managing director Siân Pritchard said.

Most notable is the investment in research and development that’s led to an impressive 86 new models being introduced in 2021/2022. These include new grassland, cultivation, seeding and tillage equipment.

Grass machinery including the new Merge Maxx 440F and a rear-mounted mower conditioner, the FC 9330 RA, will join an already strong line up. There’s also a new VBP 3165 baler that uses the brand’s unique IntelliWrap film binding.

A new Multi-Leader plough with in-furrow and on-land versions will be available, along with a range of Optimer disc stubble cultivators. This will offer both conventional plough system farms and those embracing a minimum tillage approach upgraded machines which will provide greater efficiencies in the field.

A range of new drills including the new Sitera e, a mechanical integrated model with electrical drive, has also been announced. The Venta range, meanwhile, will be updated with a 320 pneumatic model that offers more precise seed placement from a light and compact machine.

The online MyKuhn platform has been updated and is open to all customers with new and second-hand equipment to help manage their machine performance and collate data in the future. This is complemented by Kuhn’s CCI Connect onboard and offboard technology that will make both operating machines and sharing data faster and more intuitive in the future.

“By focussing on what 21st century agriculture needs, and making the required investments in research and development, Kuhn is leading the way in agricultural machinery,” Ms Pritchard added. “These new products will complement the existing range and offer operators a Kuhn machine for almost every task.”
