Dutch manufacturer Vredo has introduced its completely new VT5536 self-propelled tool carrier. The company has used its almost 30 years of experience in four-wheel steering to produce a machine that matches the needs of modern agricultural contractors.

Power for the VT5536 comes from a Stage V Scania engine with 2,465Nm torque at 1,350rpm/min and a maximum power output of 550hp. The machine is equipped with a pump filter unit with a 12,000 lit/min displacement pump as standard. Vredo’s High Performance (VHP) Loading Technology is available as an opition, increasing the loading capacity to 16,000 lit /min and filling the 22 cubic metre tank within one and a half minutes. The unique suction arm concept allows loading at both the left and right side of the VT5536.

Thanks to the machine’s compact construction and steering axles, it is very manoeuvrable and easy to turn at the end of the field. Due to the fact that there’s hardly any part of the machine in front of the front axle, it’s easy to steer in and out of every field. The combination of crab steering, perfect weight distribution and driven axles ensure that the machines can be used in the field as early as the beginning of spring. Thanks to the optional tyre pressure adjustment system, there’s minimal soil compaction.

The VVT550 transmission, newly developed by Vredo, offers a fully infinitely variable range of speeds between 0 and 40 km/hr, enabling the machine to drive at the right working speed with the optimal engine speed in any situation. In addition, 40km/hr road speed is possible at an engine speed of just 1,080rpm.

Thanks to the detachable pump-filter unit and the easily removable slurry tank, the VT5536 can be used in a multifunctional way as a tool carrier. As well as solid manure spreading, the Vredo is also suitable for jobs like pushing silage.

The Vredo Trac VT5536 has a 22 cubic metres slurry tank that's filled in less than two minutes by the unit's standard pump.

The spacious, extremely quiet and sprung cab has all the features required for a modern workplace. It comes standard with automatic air conditioning, Grammer Maximo Super- Comfort seat, multifunction displays and an easily steerable, ergonomic joystick with many combined features. All this, in combination with the renewed VTC 2.0 Vredo Trac Control system, makes the working day for the driver a lot more pleasant. Vredo sets the tone and raises the standard for driver comfort.

The polyester tank has a capacity of 22 cubic metres, in combination with the low chassis weight of 19.7t makes the VT5536 unique in its class. Thanks to this low weight, the machine is RDW-approved on two axles and remains within the 3.0m external width. The short construction of the linkage ensures a small distance to the attachment, thus optimising weight transfer.

Pre-production versions of the VT5536 have been extensively tested with positive results, and the first series of the new model will be delivered in spring 2023.
