BKT’s innovative V-Flecto tyre, created to improve the performance of high-powered tractors, will soon be available in 22 different sizes.
The new size VF 710/70R42 has already been launched and will soon be joined by the VF 750/70R44, VF 710/75R38 and VF 710/55R38. The newcomers join 18 existing sizes that start at VF 480/60R28.
BKT’s V-Flecto, which has very high flexion sidewalls, is said to be a revolutionary tyre that brings together in a single product a range of solutions to optimise the work and performance of high-powered tractors. First, the tyre makes it possible to maximise loads without changing tyre pressure, regardless of speed, managing to carry 40 per cent more weight than a standard tyre of the same size and with the same recommended rim. At the same time soil compaction is reduced thanks to a wider footprint area and a 10 per cent wider tread.
Another strength is durability, claimed to be 10 per cent longer than the standard equivalent, a characteristic which means a benefit in terms of productivity and optimisation of farm work. Then, the ultra-resistant casing and the special strengthened bead allow Agrimax V-Flecto to exploit all the tractor’s potential both in the field and on the road, where it is rated for 65km/hr.
It’s the first BKT tyre that makes use of Narrow Rim Option (NRO) technology, conforming to the standards recognised by the European Tyre and Rim Technology Organisation. This marking makes it possible to use standard rims and not the dedicated rims that are usually needed for VF tyres of the same size.
Thanks to these characteristics being combined in a single solution, the Agrimax V-Flecto has quickly become one of BKT’s most successful products. Launched in 2017, initially in the size VF 710/60R42, the tyre has been meeting the most demanding performance needs. It’s for this reason that the range has grown quickly in the past three years and is now available in 22 sizes.
