Allflex: German technology company Agrident acquired

 

Animal identification specialist Allflex has announced it has acquired the German-based agricultural technology company Agrident that specialises in RFID (radio frequency idntification) data capture systems used in process control and animal management systems worldwide. 

Agrident was established in 1997 and has grown to become a leading provider of RFID technology for the electronic animal identification market. Its fixed and mobile reader technology offers advanced data capture features for management and traceability and has a global reputation for excellence and superior performance. It is also recognised for its strong commitment to customer requirements, and a high-level of support and service.

Agrident’s dedicated team of engineers, with a proven track-record in developing new readers and experience in electronic technologies like UHF, will further strengthen Allflex’s R&D capabilities and customer offering as a  leader in smart and intelligent identification and monitoring systems for the livestock industry.

The global chief operating officer of Antelliq Group (which owns Allflex), Brian Bolton, said he was excited to welcome Agrident to the business.
