Zetor: Indian made Global Range targets Africa and Asia

The Zetor 1065 from the company’s Gobal Range.

Zetor has introduced a new Indian-built Global Range that consists of five simple mechanical tractors with power outputs from 50 to 80hp.

The 1045, 1055, 1060, 1065 and 1075 models are powered by three- and four-cylinder engines that offer an ideal combination of power and low operation costs, as well as easy maintenance. The transmissions of the tractors are partly or fully synchronised, with the eight-forward and two reverse of 12 forwrad and 12 reverse ratios.

All the tractors are equipped with mechanically regulated hydraulics with power, position and mixed regulation. The maximum lifting power is 2,600kg. The range are two-wheel drive only, apart from the 1075 that’s also available in a four-wheel drive.

The simple design of the tractors allow easy access to all components, which is ideal for easy maintenance. The tractors are offered without a cab, but with a small roof protecting the operator from the sun and rain. Each tractor is equipped with a basic tool set.

The new range is produced in India in cooperation with a local tractor manufacturer. It’s a well-established company with a long experience in meeting strict European quality criteria.

The new Global Range is available as a platform tractor only.

The tractors are being marketed throughout Asia and Africa by Zetor India Private Limited, which is the seventh subsidiary of Zetor Tractors a.s. and has been launched to strengthen the position of the Zetor brand abroad.

India was chosen as the base of the new company because the country has very good relations and sophisticated logistic channels with the countries of Asia and Africa. And of course Zetor tractors have long been appreciated in India for their simplicity, easy operation and long durability. Between 1961 and 1987, Zetor shipped more than 21,000 tractors to India, while the company also built another 60,000 at an assembly plant in the country.

The new Zetor Global Range is only for customers in markets with lower emission standards, and hasn’t been designed for Europe or North America.
