The increasing demand across the country for grain processing at harvest time will see two new Superbruisers join the Feedmix fleet in time for the 2015 harvest.
With grain treatment and processing at the core of their business, these new Superbruisers will compete with the very biggest on-farm bruisers to provide a flexible and cost-effective bruising service.
“These latest machines to join the fleet have the capacity to bruise up to 35t/hr, depending on the moisture content of the grain,” Feedmix managing director George McCombie said.
Built-in weigh cells ensure that users will be charged for the exact tonnage of grain processed, no more and no less, and will also ensure accuracy of application of additives, for example Prograin or Maxammon. The Superbruisers, which are run by experienced, trained operators, are also quiet, dust-free and can elevate grain.
The Superbruisers will be based at Feedmix’s Rosehall, Turriff base, but will travel to the areas where they are required, moving with the harvest.
“The efficiency of these new machines will help reduce costs to users” Mr McCombie added. “Of our fleet of 40 processing vehicles at nine locations from Turriff to Stratford-upon-Avon, we have five Superbruisers and 21 feedmobiles, suiting a range of needs, ensuring that our customers receive the most competitive service.”
