County Tipperary-based Abbey Machinery has updated and extended its range of Recess Tandem slurry tankers.
The new tanker range offers greater flexibility as it can run larger flotation tyres while maintaining a narrow overall width.
“Demand is growing for the use of flotation tyres to reduce ground compaction, while maintaining width for narrow roads,” the company’s Pat kenny said. “These tyres, used in conjunction with the bogie axle system, offers superb ground handling capabilities in all weather conditions.”
Although Tandem Recess tankers are not new to Abbey Machinery, the extended range offers more models for customers to choose from. Customers can choose from the 3000RT, 3500RT, 4000RT and 4500RT models with capacities of 3,000, 3,500, 4,000 or 4,500 gallons respectively.
The tankers feature an extremely low centre of gravity due to Abbey machinery’s unique folded chassis construction that has the commercial axle integrated into the chassis, thus lowering the overall height considerably.
Other key specifications include anti-movement internal baffles as standard and optional extras such as a weight-sensing sprung drawbar system and a weight management system. All Abbey tankers also have the ability to carry any of the company’s slurry spreading attachments.
