Twose has entered the variable forward reach (VFR) arm market with a new 5.4m model that delivers greater comfort, visibility and safety.
The machine features a 0.9m forward extension that enables operators to position the flailhead directly alongside the cab, allowing the driver to concentrate on the road ahead.
Aimed at large-scale farmers and small-scale contractors, the TP540C features high-performance 65hp hydraulics and is a value-for-money alternative to the latest generation of VFR arms currently on the market.
Precision-engineered in the UK, The TP540C builds on Twose’s proven pedigree for creating robust and reliable machines.
Twose’s director of sales and marketing, Tim Coleridge, said the enhanced visibility and comfort delivered by the machine would not only boost safety and precision, but would also improve comfort and allow operators to work longer, increasing their productivity.
The configuration of the arm can also be adjusted at the touch of button, switching from forward reach to a conventional straight arm position in seconds.
The specification of the TP540C includes:5.4m reach; powerful 65hp hydraulics; 0.9m forward extension; three-point linkage mounting; large 200-litre oil tank for smooth arm movements; choice of cable or hydraulic controls; heavy-duty build quality; hydraulic safety breakaway; 100-degree hydraulic slew for greater manoeuvrability; dual-direction rotor; 1.2m belt-driven HD flailhead; and a wide range of cutting attachments, including tree saws and cutter bars.
The TP540C boosts Twose’s range of machines from the compact 3.2m TA320 to the flagship 6.25m TP625T, increasing the total number of models to 11.
The TP540C is available now with prices starting at £25,850 (correct at September 2014). The 6.0m TP600C is also available from £26,850.
