Merlo has announced the appointment of Brompton by Sawdon-based Hardwick Agricultural Engineers as the newest member of its agricultural dealer network.

Hardwick has taken over from Murton-based Yorkshire Handlers, which has relinquished the franchise after 27 years of representing Merlo as the owners are retiring.

Experienced Merlo technician Dane Robson will join the Hardwick team from Yorkshire Handlers. He will be a familiar face to many Merlo customers in the area, having worked with the brand’s products throughout his career.

“Yorkshire is a key agricultural county where Merlo handlers have found favour across a wide range of farming operations,” the general manager of Merlo UK, Shaun Groom, said. “As such, we wanted to be sure to appoint a new dealer that could support those existing Merlo customers effectively while further developing the sales of new Merlo products.

“We’re pleased that Eric Hardwick and his team are eager to develop their relationship with Merlo UK and the brand’s existing Yorkshire-based customer base.”
