John Deere says its 2024 model year tractors will set new standards in precision agriculture technology and driving comfort.
The brand will integrate its new G5 Plus CommandCenter display into 6, 7, 8 and 9 series tractors while further enhancing driving comfort.
The G5 Plus CommandCenter brings documentation, data sync, JDLink connectivity, variable-rate application, section control and AutoTrac guidance as standard.
Its 12.8-inch display is 33 per cent larger than the previous unit and offers 1080P high-resolution and a much faster processor. The update means customers can achieve the highest levels of precision agriculture efficiency and ease of use while ensuring their tractors are ready for the future.
The 2024 model year John Deere 6R Series also brings new developments to improve driver comfort. The redesigned steering column and new steering wheel are said to provide the next level of comfort, especially with regards to on-the-road performance. In addition, a new dampening system is available on both the Premium and Ultimate drivers’ seats.
The 2024 model year 7R Series features a new steering system with a 50 per cent increase in steering capacity. This is made possible by using larger steering cylinders fitted as standard.
To enhance operator comfort during transport, the 7R also features a new automotive-type steering system. This naturally re-centres itself and improves line holding significantly. Known as reactive steering, the feature is easily activated via a softkey on the CommandCenter.
Two additional front brake discs enhance the operator’s experience and transport performance on 7R tractors.
All 2024 model year 7, 8 and 9 Series tractors will also gain a new high-resolution corner post display and a built-in StarFire 7000 receiver.
