Weaving Machinery's updated GD4000M mounted seed drill.
Weaving Machinery’s updated GD4000M mounted disc coulter seed drill.

The updated mounted GD Disc Drill from Weaving Machinery brings a host of new features for small farmers and operators who prefer mounted, compact machines.

The machine is available in 3.0m and 4.0m working widths and features a large tubular coulter frame designed for longevity season after season. There’s also a two-section folding mechanism that facilitates easy calibration and emptying of the hopper.

An updated plastic 2,000-litre hopper with heavy-duty steel lids is fitted along with a side door allowing easy access for maintenance and cleaning. Grain-and-fertiliser models will retain a steel tank.

Large rear folding steps and a two-stage platform give operators ample room while filling the hopper and is complete with road lights, work lights and a flashing beacon.

The well-proven GD Coulter has also been upgraded, offering more constant pressure and easier set-up due to the incorporation of a unique gas spring while keeping the ideal row spacing of 166mm.

Seed distribution is powered by RDS Isocan controls with electric metering, while a six-inch hydraulic fan delivers the seed to the coulters.

Options for the GD drills include Avadex or Slug/Fertiliser/OSR applicators, hydraulic markers, variable seed rate and wheel scrapers.
