Quicke UK will open a new whole goods distribution centre in Greater Manchester at the end of November 2022.
The site’s stock will include the full range of Quicke seasonal implements, such as the new Silocut, and high-demand loaders, and the company’s managing director, Steve Hewitt, said the new facility had been receiving stock in readiness for opening.
The warehouse will complement Quicke’s Scottish depot and central distribution units based in Germany to assist UK Dealers and farmers with two- to three-day turnarounds and digital tracking.
“Quicke UK’s implementation of the UK satellite depots was trialled in Scotland, assisting the central distribution network with fast-moving items,” Mr Hewitt added. “Having proved itself on selected items, we have extended the trial to include a UK base to increase the available items, shorten lead times further, and trial state-of-the-art tracking across the UK.”
