Indian tyre giant BKT has unveiled the AgrimaxFactor, a brand-new 70-series tyre for tractors that’s said to be perfectly suited for both transport and soil tillage operations.
Designed following an in-depth study of market trends as well as customer and user feedback, BKT says it has developed a brand-new product full of distinguishing and innovative features.
The tread design has been improved from a technical viewpoint with an increased lug length and changed lug orientation and angle for the purpose of providing improved handling and smooth roadability.
Excellent stability plus a fast steering response – even at high speeds and under heavy-duty service – are ensured by an extraordinarily strong carcase made in polyester, a material that replaces nylon. In particular, there are six polyester belts and four strong polyester plies providing high stability at any speed. Increased comfort is an additional advantage of this novel development.
The AgrimaxFactor is also the brand’s first tyre to display the “E-Ready” logo as a sign of BKT’s commitment towards electric mobility. Electric vehicles represent new challenges and different needs, requiring a high torque moment and a higher weight on the tire, andthis demands new tread designs and compounds that are able to better resist wear.
The AgrimaxFactor is already being made in three sizes: 600/70R30 and 710/70R42 with the load index/speed rating 173D; and 710/70R42 rated 176D. Another 12 sizes are under development for launch during the first half of 2023.
