Yanmar Europe has introduced a new, free five-year warranty on its SA, YT2 and YT3 utility tractor series from 22hp to 60hp that’s said to set a unique benchmark for groundscare tractors in the continent.
The new extended warranty policy is claimed to improves the lifecycle value of the brand’s compact tractors by optimising utilisation and performance and minimising costs and downtime. It also accounts for higher resale value.
The launch of the new five-year warranty further enhances sustainability and extended ownership of Yanmar’s current line-up of compact tractors. This is an important asset for owners and operators during the lifetime of their tractors.
“Yanmar sets a new benchmark by offering five-year warranty for compact tractors without any charges,” the companys’ Peter van der Vorst said. “It emphasises the strong quality and reliability of our products and is another important step to offer problem-free, sustainable ownership and higher resale value.”
The new waranty is said to offer owners a decisive argument in their purchase with at least five business-critical advantages:
- optimised utilisation;
- enhanced performance;
- use of genuine high-quality parts ;
- reduced downtime; and
- increased resale value.
The five-year warranty is valid without any costs for a period of 60 months or 5,000 operating hours for models in the SA, YT2 and YT3 tractor series sold in Europe and operating on European territory where Yanmar has an official partner. The warranty will cover all repairs necessary for these tractors arising from defects in material and/or workmanship through normal use, without any costs for parts or labour for the owner.
A valuable benefit is that the warranty also applies to subsequent owners for the remainder of the warranty period if the tractor is sold. Warranty coverage comes with the usual exceptions such as ordinary wear-and-tear, misuse, improper maintenance or force majeure, and doesn’t apply to external implements or attachments. Some exceptions are made to electrical parts.
For reasons of transparency and ease of use, the warranty policy has been drawn up as simply as possible. Only five main rules apply for owners to qualify:
- buy from an authorised dealer;
- the supplying dealer must register the tractor in Yanmar’s five-year warranty portal within one month of purchase;
- fulfil all scheduled maintenance and checks in time;
- register all maintenance and repairs; and
- use only Yanmar genuine parts and fluids.
