Claas may have ended production of its Cargos forage wagons, but it has been announced that Fliegl is to begin building the loading and transport trailers at a new factory in Upper Bavaria.
The new Cargos will roll off the production line at Kirchdorf, near Haag, and will be built in a new colour and with the Fliegl name; nothing else will change for the time being.
After Claas stopped production of the Cargos series in spring 2022, Fliegl took over all rights to the machines. The company, that invented the push-off wagon, will produce and sell the range under its own name, with production in the hands of a new division of the company, Fliegl Grünlandtechnik.
Andreas Fliegl has been appointed managing director of Fliegl Grünlandtechnikand and will be responsible for production of the Cargos at the new site. The manufacturer aims to offer customers the range’s well-known quality and first-class service with regard to the supply of spare parts.
A new sales network is to be set up to market the Fliegl Cargos. This may include existing Fliegl partners, but other interested sales partners are being weclomed as well.
