Manitou Group has extended its range of articulated loaders with six new models available Under the Manitou and Gehl brands. These latest Gehl AL (Articulated Loader) and Manitou MLA (Manitou Loader Articulated) machines, increase the number of articulated loaders from each brand up to 11.
The new products offer a load capacity ranging from 700kg to 1,500kg and lifting heights between 2.50m for short-arm machines to 3.07m for long-arm models. Series 2 and 3 models are equipped with a 25hp stage V engine, while series 4 and 5 offer 48hp.
Manitou Group says the complete range makes it possible to respond to wide-ranging demands, with the largest of the articulated loaders providing a nominal load capacity of up to 3,300kg. This depth of range is aimed at many markets thanks to a wide selection of attachments comprising more than 100 products, including buckets, forks and bale clamps, as well as levelers and augers.
The wide variety of applications enables the Group to target very different markets, be it agriculture, with stable and livestock maintenance or construction, with specifically designed models. The AL320/MLA 3-25 H-C and AL420/MLA 4-50 H-C have been designed for the construction sector and allow pallets of materials to be handled on urban sites with space constraints.
It should also be noted that with such a broad product range, the new articulated loaders will also fully meet the expectations of landscapers and horticulturists. All the models are equipped with hydrostatic transmission for added performance. The Manitou MLA 2-25H and Gehl AL 230 models have a hydraulic motor on each wheel to make these small machines more manoeuvrable in any environment. These new models will all be available in all the Gehl and Manitou distribution networks in Europe in June.
Manitou Group has worked on designing these new machines to create models that are more ergonomic and even more slim-line than previous ones while still offering a very high level of performance. The engine hoods have been shortened, and the engine is positioned lengthwise to the chassis to reduce the size of series 3 and 4 models. The minimum width is 1.10m.
The chassis has also been revised to reduce the length of these products. The low height between 2.14m and 2.29m for the biggest models allows them to be manoeuvred easily in tight spaces. A joystick makes them quick to master by new and experienced users alike. In addition, optimal 360-degree visibility around the cab ensures a very high level of safety for users.
Manitou Group’s articulated loader manager, Frédérik Crul, said he wanted to provide users with solutions tailored to their needs, with compact, high-performance machines that can move around easily in any environment.
“Distributed under both the Manitou and Gehl brands, this range will be available close to our customers, with an increasingly premium service offered to our customers,” he added.
To facilitate the movement of these loaders between different work sites or farms, specific models are transportable on a 3,500kg trailer, which can be used with a basic BE driving license. The weight ranges from 1,500kg for series 2 to 2,600kg for series 5 models. This advantage allows the group to adapt to the constraints of rental companies and tradespeople, who have to move their handling equipment frequently within a short time frame.
Like all machines designed by Manitou Group, all these articulated loaders are connected, sending information directly on the My Gehl and My Manitou smartphone applications, enabling users to monitor their activity and anticipate maintenance operations. Thanks to the EasyManager solution (web portal and mobile app), fleet managers can remotely monitor the activity of every machine and thereby optimise their fleet management.
The data can also be accessed via an API to facilitate integration into the data management systems customers already have in place. Maintenance operations are carried out easily thanks to access to the engine and battery at the rear of the machine, allowing for a more rapid response. This simplified maintenance enables users to reduce their total cost of ownership.
These connected models benefit from a two-year warranty as standard, which can be extended to six years and/or 6,000 hours for complete peace of mind at work. To provide even more service, Manitou Group has a network of almost 400 Manitou and Gehl distributors in Europe, ensuring a high availability rate for all spare parts.
