Bobcat’s compact tractor range is expected to be available in Europe next year after a 24.5hp CT2000 series model was seen at the company’s Bobcat Demo Days event in the Czech Republic in June. Although no official launch date has been announced, WNIF understands they will likely be launched during 2023.
Bobcat currently offers tractor models ranging from 21hp to 58hp in the United States: there are two sub-compact models in the 1000 Series with 21hp and 25hp; five compact tractor models in the 2000 Series from 25hp to 40hp; three compact tractor models in the 4000 Series from 45hp to 58hp; and four compact tractor models in the 5000 Series from 45hp to 58hp. Some models are available with a choice of mechanical or hydrostatic transmissions taking the total offering to 20 tractors.
Power for the tractors comes from a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder diesel in the 1000 Series; a 1.6-litre, three-cylinder diesel engines in the 25hp 2000 Series models; and then a 1.8-litre, three-cylinder units all the way up to 58hp for the remaining 2000 Series, 4000 Series and 5000 Series models.
The 1000 Series models have a 1,400mm wheelbase and a 318kg three-point linkage capacity, the respective figures for the 2000 Series are 1,670mm and 740kg; it’s 1,810mm and 1,232kg for the 4000 Series; and the 5000 Series comes in at 1,920mm and 1,441kg.
The tractors were introduced to the US market in September 2019. At the time, they were described as a natural complement to existing Bobcat compact equipment that had remained a constant presence for farmers and ranchers for 60 years.
