Opico has announced the appointment of Charlies Groundcare and Machinery to its Maschio Gaspardo, Opico and He-Va dealer network.
Based near Welshpool, Charlies Groundcare and Machinery specialises in agricultural, groundscare, turf, golf and forestry machinery, and has been serving farmers and the amenity sector throughout mid-Wales and Shropshire since 2004. It took on the John Deere groundscare franchise in 2008, and the business has continued to expand and now includes multiple machinery brands.
The addition of He-Va cultivation, Opico grassland, mobile batch dryers, and mechanical weeding machinery, and the full Maschio Gaspardo tillage line-up of ploughs, cultivators, combination drills, rotovators, as well as the extensive range of Maschio flail mowers, only serves to strengthen its offering. With a depot on the outskirts of the town of Welshpool, the company is ideally positioned to grow the franchises in its area and beyond.
“We couldn’t be more delighted that Charlies Groundcare has chosen to sell and support our three brands,” Opico sales director Charles Bedforth said. “It’s a well-known business in the area, with a hard-earned reputation for quality and honest, family values.”
Charlies Groundcare dealer principal Ross Holloway said he was impressed with the range of machines and excellent build quality available from OPICO.
“We’re fired up and ready go with both service and sales training,” he added, “so that we can get stuck in to demonstrating, selling and supporting the range.”
