Väderstad has introduced the new Inspire 1200 drill family that’s focused on bringing excellent seeding results to the 12m segment.
Designed to combine high capacity with an exact seeding precision, the new models offer compact dimensions both in the field and in transport.
The drill is available in two different models – the Inspire 1200S seed-only version equipped with a 5,000-litre hopper. The combi version Inspire 1200C has a 7,200-litre hopper holding both seeds and fertiliser in two separate compartments. When leaving the Inspire 1200C hopper, the seed and fertiliser is mixed into the same airstream and placed together into the soil.
The heart of Inspire is its responsive double-disc seed coulter system. It has an excellent ability to adapt to any irregularities on the field, thereby always keeping the seeding depth constant. The result is an impressive seed placement and an even emergence over the entire field.
A key feature of both Inspire 1200 versions is their ability to control the seeding output in eight separate sections. To ensure a constant and even product flow from the large hopper to the seed coulters, the seed and fertiliser is metered out with high-output precision from the large hopper via eight Fenix III metering units.
This means the Inspire 1200 models can conduct variable-rate as well as sectional control seeding down to 1.5m sections. This is a unique precision feature in the 12m seed drill market segment, according to the company.
When in the field, the seeding operation is easily controlled via the iPad-based Väderstad E-Control system. The ISObus task control system can also be uswed.
The Väderstad Inspire 1200 C and S drills will premiere at Agritechnica in February 2022 and the first machines will reach customers at the end of 2022.
