Fendt has appointed Johnston Tractors as a new dealer in North-west England and South-west Scotland. This sees the company become an official Fendt stockist and service support dealer from its three branches at Carlisle, Dumfries and Penrith.
Johnston Tractors was established in 1962 and has always been a family business. Howard Johnston and sister Lorna lead an experienced team that’s excited by the new relationship with Fendt.
“We welcome the opportunity to work with and represent Fendt in our territories,” managing director Howard Johnston said. “We believe the Fendt brand will be popular with our customers and we’re looking forward to introducing them to the wide range of machines available.
“At the same time, we’re able to offer existing Fendt customers the wealth of experience and customer support that we deliver on a daily basis.”
Fendt’s national sales manager for the UK, Martin Hamer, said it was a pleasure to welcome Johnston’s to the Fendt dealer family.

Johnston Tractors joins more than 30 Fendt dealerships throughout the UK as part of changes to the Fendt dealer network that are set to be fully effective by April 2021, allowing for a period of transition. The firm is preparing to take on responsibility for the brand with the necessary staff training, and is working with Fendt to make it a smooth transition for existing and potential customers.
