Fendt: New operating concept now on all 700 Vario tractors

The top-of-the-range Fendt 724 Vario offers 237hp.

The new FendtOne operating concept that links the familiar tractor controls with tasks that are traditionally office-based is now available across all the latest Stage V 700 Vario tractors. As well as the Profi+ version showcased at Agritechnica, Power, Power+ and Profi models will all get features including a new armrest and the new multifunction joystick and freely assignable buttons.

The Fendt 700 Vario series ranges from 144 to 237hp from six models (Fendt 714 Vario, Fendt 716 Vario, Fendt 718 Vario, Fendt 720 Vario, Fendt 722 Vario, Fendt 724 Vario). All have have been available for order since February 2020, and deliveries will start from Q4 of 2020.

The Fendt 700 Vario in its Power version is the 700-series entry-model. The Fendt 700 Vario Power is ideal for customers demanding traction power over technical equipment, such as for transport work. For road use, drivers with the 10-inch digital dashboard on the steering column can see all the information they need. There is also a 12-inch terminal installed as standard on the armrest, which makes it significantly easier to use the machine. This variant also offers freely assignable buttons for the first time. The driver can adapt the controls to their specific needs.

The Power+ bundle (formerly PowerPlus) on the Fendt 700 Vario is perfect for work on grassland. The Fendt 700 Vario Power+ is compatible with Fendt Guide (formerly VarioGuide). With the 12-inch terminal on the armrest, track guidance functions and ISObus functions can now be displayed in realtime on freely assignable panes, making it much easier to control a complex attachment, such as an ISObus-compatible mower combination with track guidance.

The 3L joystick can be assigned to tractor and front loader functions. This makes them easier to operate. The six-way multicoupler for the front loader’s optional third hydraulic circuit can carry out three functions at the same time – great for loading bales, for example. The built-in function for changing the direction of travel makes work less tiring, as you no longer have to reach around.

ISObus comes as standard on the Fendt 700 Vario Profi. For a clearer use of all functions, there is a third, optional 12-inch terminal in the roof as well as the 10-inch digital dashboard and the 12-inch terminal on the armrest. All the screens work in unison:  you can show tractor functions on specific terminals depending on the job at hand. The ISObus socket can be fitted at the front, as a further option.

The Fendt 700 Vario Profi+ (formerly ProfiPlus) offers a number of digital solutions that make farmers’ work easier on the field. This includes Fendt Section Control and Fendt Variable Rate Control. Both of these functions are available as optional extras on the Fendt 700 Vario Profi+. One of the multiple optional features is a 12-inch roof terminal. When working with complex attachments, such as a potato harvester, you can show track guidance functions, the ISObus screen and the camera on multiple terminals at the same time.

The guidance system Fendt Guide is ready to be fitted as standard on Power+ and Profi+ machines. This includes the field data management feature. You can manage the run-outs from home then send the job to the machine. This means orders including the field boundaries and track lines can be carried out with Fendt Guide on the tractor. All the fields are then worked based on the same data record used across the entire fleet. Fendt TI (Teach In) Auto and the Fendt Guide Contour Assistant are optional extras.

There are six Stage V Fendt 700 Vario power outputs from 144 to 237hp.

Fendt Task Doc makes it easy for the farmer to convert to automatic reporting. This job-specific documentation system includes planning and admin features. This means, in just a few clicks, the farm manager can use the FendtOne offboard app to create jobs in the office or on the move and send them straight to the machine.

Added to this, with the FendtOne onboard function Fendt Task Doc, the operator can process and document jobs on the machine and return them to the office as a job report. From there, more job details are shown, including which fields were worked and the output volumes. A map view also gives the farm manager an overview of the selected parameters. Fendt Task Doc saves farm manager valuable time by easily documenting actions.

The central telemetry system Fendt Connect is optional with the Power+ and Profi bundles. The Fendt 700 Vario Profi+ comes with Fendt Connect as standard. The telemetry system helps you to manage your fleet wherever you are and optimise your machine settings. Customers can monitor specific machine data from their PC or smart device, as well as make use of additional services offered by their dealership.
