Quad-X has developed a reliable and robust fertiliser speader to be towed by quad bikes, side-by-side vehicles or 4x4s. For owners of utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) such as a Gators, Mules or Rangers, the Quad-X Pro Spreader is said to be the only commercially available UTV spreader that allows the operator to control the feed of fertiliser to the spreading disc.
With a frame developed to be up to 85 per cent stronger than any other competitor’s towed spreader, and a triple-bearing system on the axle, the Quad-X Pro Spreader range has been built to be the most robust and durable in its class. This commercial-spec Pro Spreader has a strong steel frame and sturdy hopper that avoids any problem of cracks that can appear in plastic hoppers. The Quad-X spreaders have been designed using stainless steel components and a seven-stage finishing process for resistance to wet weather conditions and the corrosive nature of fertiliser.
The spreader’s extra-wide axle, coupled with the low height of the hopper, makes for a stable spreader. Flotation tyres also help make the Pro Spreader suitable for softer ground. The Quad-X UTV sower has a capacity of 465 litres, with removable side extensions increasing this to 680 litres. It’s ground driven and has an unrivalled spreading width, which is easily adjusted by regulating the towing vehicles speed. The shutter plate to start/stop the flow of fertiliser is easily opened/closed by the operator from their seat, and there’s a handy lever to disengage the spinner for road travel.
The Quad-X Pro Spreader has been developed to be adjustable for a more precise application, and can be tray tested for accurate spreading. The dished spinner with its specially designed vanes have been developed to give a spread up to 50ft with an even application for maximum results and minimum wastage.
The Quad-X Pro Spreader is the result of years of investment in R&D with continual honing and refining to ensure the comnpany offers the most reliable, robust and accurate spreaders on the market.
