Feed dispensers from Dutch manufacturer VDL Agrotech are known for unrivalled accuracy and excellent quality; features that now apply to its updated range.
The company’s R&D department has further developed its pig feed dispenser design, and this updated version has been through successful long-term testing under practical conditions.
The new dispensers available in 4.5 and 6.5 litres. The 4.5-litre dispenser is the successor of the 3.0-litre dispenser and can be used more widely with sows at all stages with once or twice daily feeding at the end of the gestation period or three-times-a-day feeding in the farrowing pen. The new 6.5-litre dispenser replaces the company’s previous 6.0-litre model.
The new dispensers feature two different top caps with direct connection to 50mm and 60mm feed pipes. They are faster to assemble, and they have a more compact installation height.
The VDL dispensers are available with universal connection for individual manual-operated outlets of 50mm and 60mm. A Y-piece can be used for two types of feed, and there’s the possibility of connection to computer-controlled outlets. The 6.5-litre universal version is fully interchangeable with the old 6.0-litre version in terms of mounting dimensions
The dispensers have an extra-large lockable top cap that’s easier to clean and easier accessible for administering feed additives.
And there’s a stainless-steel adjustment cable where the pre-tension can be re-adjusted in just one direction (tightened).
The installation dimensions for the new dispensers have remained more or less the same, so that the new unit can easily replace an old one.
The prices of the dispensers have also remained the same.
