Fendt: New features Ideal large combines

Unveiled to the public for the first time at Agritechnica 2017, the large Fendt Ideal combine will get to prove its power in Europe this year in its second harvest season. Meanwhile, an updated range is about to be unveiled, including a new top-of-the-range 790hp model. The Fendt Ideal also now features IdealDrive – a steering system without a steering wheel.

The Fendt Ideal large combine series now has a new flagship model, the Fendt Ideal 10, that offers a maximum power output of 790hp from a new MAN 16.2-litre engine that meets the Stage V European emissions standard.

The Fendt Ideal 10 also features a new cleaning system and the Dual Helix separator, which is carried across from the Fendt Ideal 8 and Fendt Ideal 9. This combination increases throughput with the highest grain quality and lowest grain losses, increasing the area coverage of the new large combine.

With the Fendt Ideal 10, the brand introduces the first standard combine in Europe to be operated entirely without a steering wheel.

The Fendt Ideal offers steering without a steering wheel.

Fendt IdealDrive steering allows the machine to be controlled proportionately to the movement of a joystick on the left-hand side armrest – other functions remain on the joystick on the right armrest. For easy access to the driver’s seat, the left armrest can be folded up.

The Fendt IdealDrive steering system will be available exclusively on the Fendt Ideal. It gives the best view of front threshing attachments and offers the perfect overview, even on the road. The unique system complies with all European vehicle and traffic regulations.

The Fendt Ideal 10 can be ordered from July 2020, ready for the 2021 harvest.
