Dealer changes for Bobcat in Yorkshire

Bobcat has announced new changes in the dealers responsible for sales and service of the its range of skid-steer and compact track loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers and attachments in Yorkshire.

The company has appointed Grays Machinery Ltd, based in Bedale, as the new authorised Bobcat dealer for North and West Yorkshire. It has also extended the area covered by AMS Bobcat Limited, based in Scunthorpe, to include South Yorkshire. AMS is already the Authorised Bobcat Dealer for Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

The owner/director of Grays Machinery, Sandy Gray, said he was very proud to be appointed by Bobcat to represent the brand.

“We bring a lot of local knowledge, expertise, experience and enthusiasm to selling and supporting the Bobcat range in Yorkshire,” he added. “I believe there are many fantastic opportunities to expand sales for Bobcat in this region in agriculture, construction and rental markets as well as many other areas.”

Bobcat’s district manager for UK North, Paul Hyslop, said he was very impressed with the service Grays can offer in North and West Yorkshire.

“Combined with their familiarity with the local market and their dedication, drive and passion for the Bobcat range, I’m confident Grays will be an excellent dealer,” he added. “The company has proved to be quick off the mark, recording its first sale of a Bobcat E17 mini-excavator just three days after taking over the dealership.”

As well as the entire Bobcat range of machines and attachments, Grays also offers a full selection of genuine Bobcat accessories and parts to support both new and existing customers in its area. This is backed up by a stock of both brand new and second-hand Bobcat machines for sale. Customers also benefit from Grays’ on-site service network, covering everything from emergency repairs to routine maintenance.

“Being based centrally at Northallerton, outside Bedale, we’re only 45 minutes from any Bobcat customer in our area,” Mr Gray said. “We’ve a background in a wide range of equipment including Bobcat machines, with a close working knowledge of virtually every industry we deal with, especially landscaping, construction and farming. We offer a service second to none, dedicated to the Bobcat brand and accompanied by continuous investment in our stock of machines and parts for our customers.”

In contrast to Grays, AMS Bobcat has been a Bobcat dealer for more than 25 years. Managing director Steve McIntosh said he congratulated Grays on its new appointment.

“We’re delighted that Bobcat has shown confidence in us by extending our area to cover South Yorkshire,” he added. “This is the latest development in the long relationship between our companies, and we look forward to many more years of working together.”

Paul Hyslop said Bobcat was pleased to have its newest dealer, Grays, and one of our oldest, AMS, working alongside each other, representing Bobcat in different parts of Yorkshire.

“Both are professional companies that are easy to do business with,” he added. “Their dedication and reliable aftercare service help to ensure the smooth running of Bobcat equipment in their areas.”

Bobcat offers 12 skid-steer loader models, complementing these wheeled machines with a selection of seven compact track loaders. The Bobcat mini-excavator range comprises 17 models with operating weights from 1.0t to 8.5t. These machines are complemented by a choice of 15 different rigid frame telehandler models and four rotary telehandlers, covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6t and 5.0t, and maximum lift heights from 6.0m to 24.1m.
