County Laois-based machinery dealership Bailey Machinery Sales Ltd (BMS) has launched the all new Grizzly WrapMaster into the Irish market ahead of this year’s bailing and wrapping campaign.
The concept of the WrapMaster is the brainchild of UK agri contractor and engineer Joe Grills, who designed the WrapMaster to meet the demands of modern bailing contractors for increased capacity of wrap and net.
“I initially started by designing and manufacturing a unit for our local contractor who wanted to increase their capacity with the bailing operation, they were so happy with how the WrapMaster preformed they now run two units,” he said. “Customers are constantly looking to carry more wrap and net with them, which allows them to continue working without unnecessary downtime having to restock net and wrap, which often means travelling away from the work field.”
The unit itself is manufactured from heavy-duty 80mm x 80mm x 5mm box section and 10mm plate for increased strength, which is vital for modern contracting. To keep the wrap secure, there are 70mm tubes fitted to the top frame – ranging in number from eight to 22 – along with either a single or double net carrier attachment. For added ease of use, the entire top frame folds hydraulically thanks to the help of a double-acting ram allowing the operator to remove the rolls easily and, more importantly, safely.
The unit can be painted in any combination of two-pack paint, and features full LED lighting as standard for added safety when travelling on the road. Optional extras include a crop press roller, A-frame attachment, strobe lights, work lights and so on.
The WrapMaster has proven quite popular in its short history with units being sent across the UK, New Zealand and of course Ireland in only its second year of production.
